He had become friends with Stephen Hill and Anna Turner, the hosts of the radio program "Music from the Hearts of Space," and he decided to create an album for their show using his new instrument. The result was his album Starmusic.

Don recorded the music on his Teac eight-track machine in Santa Rosa, California. Stephen Hill mixed the music in a San Francisco studio using an extraordinarily expensive Lexicon reverb, so difficult to find at this time, a device a master of space such as Stephen knew fully how to employ.

Starmusic sold widely in the US, thanks to much airplay on "Music from the Hearts of Space," which soon became nationally syndicated, and aired on other programs as well.

Starmusic was used in planetarium shows, ballets, videos, and was featured on various programs on National Public Radio.

"Celestial navigation music for the armchair space traveller." - Stephen Hill, USA

"Don Robertson is perhaps America's premier synthesist" - Eurock Magazine, USA

"...absolutely incredible" - Lotus Records, ENGLAND

"tres cosmique" - New Frontier, FRANCE
